Sometimes the evening light is simply PERFECT for sessions. This was one of those nights. It may have been unseasonably warm (record breaking heat to be exact...) but this senior session went beautifully. I am so glad that I hauled my Victorian couch out to the park for the occasion!
I absolutely love photographing high school seniors. I love how the student starts out feeling not so confident in how to do this photo session thing, and within minutes they relax and warm up to the camera and we end up having a blast.
I am now offering 30, 60, and 90 minute high-school senior sessions. This is an example of a 30 minute session. We were able to get several different backgrounds at one location, throw in a few shirt changes, and knock the session out in that time.
I take pictures both vertically and horizontally, close-up and full-length. Witt ended up with over 50 images that his family can download and use as they please for printing.
I enjoy taking pictures of high school seniors so much! They often feel self-conscious in front of the camera, but after a few minutes they begin to go with the moment and really enjoy themselves. This senior was a photographer's dream. She is truly beautiful inside and out!
I heart taking Senior Portraits! These sessions are so much fun, and I love having the opportunity to meet all of these smart, sweet, enthusiastic, and energetic young people about to embark on the next chapter of life. Cameron was no exception, and I had a blast photographing him for these pictures.
It is not every day that you have the privilege of using a 20,000 sq ft historic mansion located on 6 acres of land as your setting for a photo session. It was a unique and fabulous experience! (P.S. It is currently for sale for $1.8 million if you are interested.)
We began our session inside in one of the eight bedrooms, and even the wallpaper was a lovely backdrop. Look at how it accentuates her beautiful eyes!
This house was built around an enormous organ that has pipes on all three floors. Olivia is extremely musical herself, and we were able to take photographs with her instruments in this perfect setting. I wanted to make sure we highlighted the main set of organ pipes in the entry way of the mansion in at least one!
Just up the staircase was a lovely window that we used to capture some additional photographs with the instruments.
Then we moved outside to the beautiful 6 acre grounds and the sunset was a magical backdrop.
To cap of an extraordinary senior portrait session, four deer scampered across the lawn right in front of us just before we took these last few shots. What a magical evening!
I had the pleasure of photographing this Class of 2018 Senior a few days ago! While the weather went from summer-like to frigid overnight, we managed to brave the cold and capture some awesome shots! This location in Trenton, OH made the perfect backdrop for the session. We even snuck in a few family pictures as well.
This past weekend was absolutely beautiful. The weather was perfect and the trees are finally beginning to look like fall.
This session was on the banks of the Ohio in Covington, KY at a tiny little park that has lots of scenic areas to take photographs. Unfortunately, it is also a well known park for photographers, and there were five wedding parties getting their pictures taken at the park when we arrived! We still found plenty of great spots for pictures, and this ended up being a really fantastic portrait session for this senior!
