My sweet friends are getting ready to return to their other home out of the country. While I'm so sad to see them go, I am excited for this next chapter with their new addition! They wanted one last family photo session before they leave, so we headed to a local park. You may recognize this mama and baby from the main page of this website! They are all so beautiful inside and out and I am blessed to know them.
The original plan for this session was to travel to a park but with four large dogs, this family decided the backyard would be a better idea. Honestly, I love backyard sessions! Everyone is more relaxed and comfortable being in a familiar place, pets are welcome to take part (including lizards - see Kermit below!), and the pictures are more meaningful because they showcase home. If you are looking for family pictures but are hung up on a location, just take a look outside your door!
This sweet family has lived a few streets away from us since we moved to Liberty Township and they recently just purchased a new house a whole 25 minutes away. How dare they! Just kidding. I'm super excited for them, and I know we will still see them a lot because I plan on lounging by their new pool all summer! ;)
As a fun little goodbye to the old house, I came over for a family photo session the day before they closed. We only had a short time before the new owners came for their final walk through, so we did a quick session using the beautiful shiplap wall in the family room, a few pictures on the stairs, and then finished on the front porch.
Little Levi is now nine months old! He and his siblings have graced the blog several times before, and they are so much fun to photograph. Here are some of the highlights from our latest session together!
I may live in the suburbs of Cincinnati, but I love getting the opportunity to take photos in Downtown Cincinnati! This session was a three generation session, and these ladies were so much fun to spend the morning with walking along the Ohio riverbank! Smale Park is a beautiful location and is the perfect setting for a picture session!
I love taking family pictures. It is always a lot of fun, but today's session was even more fun because the folks in front of the camera just happen to be our besties. Although our families see each other most days of the week, it still has been four years since I have taken their last family photo! It was time. And we had a blast. :)
I usually don't take the pictures, edit, and blog a session all in the same day, but these guys are with my husband and older boys at their baseball game while I'm home with my napper so I get to be extra productive! But I really am missing sitting on the sidelines with all of our friends watching our boys play some baseball.
I met Sam back in the winter when I took some Christmas themed photos for his family. He was a sweetheart back then, and continues to be as sweet as can be! Sam loves trucks, balls, and Paw Patrol, and we were able to capture some of those elements in his two year old birthday photo session today. We met at a park in Liberty Township, and Sam had a great time!
This session was especially sweet. My dear friends just had their fifth child. They have two boys and two girls, and did not find out the gender of this baby before the birth. We were all so excited to hear the news! Sweet baby girl Josephine is just four days old, and she is sooo incredibly precious! Her skin and hair and little fingers and toes are just perfection. What a sweet little blessing she is!
It was a subfreezing day in Cincinnati, but little baby Merritt warmed my heart! She was quite active during our session, and was an excellent baby model! Here are some highlights of the session.
Brrrrr.... It is a cold day in the Nati today! The thermometer was at -7 when I woke up this morning. NOT COOL! Well, I guess extremely cool... I digress... Luckily this session was taken a few weeks ago when it was a balmy 40 degrees outside.
You might think that winter isn't the best time to get your family photos taken, but really, anytime of year can work! Snow on the ground makes for amazing pictures, and even in these shots, there was no snow or leaves on trees, but we still captured some great shots of this family.
