I love, love, love taking photographs at this little park just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati in Covington, KY! It has all the textures and backgrounds for an amazing photo session. The Allen family was amazing as usual and we had a lot of fun with this family photo session in just 30 minutes!

Pine Hill Lakes Park in Mason, OH is beautiful in the fall and a great spot for family photos! The colors were amazing this year.Smale Park in Cincinnati is a lovely place for family pictures any time of year! As a photographer, I love that there are so many textures, scenic views, and 'Nati landmarks to work with!
I always look forward to seeing this awesome family each year! Covid postponed our original photography session but we had a great fall photo session instead! I love this little spot in Trenton, OH for taking family photos. This is one of my favorite spots to photograph senior pictures! It is well worth the drive across the river to take portraits in this area of Covington, KY. Owen was amazing and we were finished with this session in only 30 minutes with plenty of poses from which to choose the keepers.
It was my pleasure to take family pictures of this sweet momma and her awesome children. We stumbled upon this location, and it turned out to be a really amazing spot for pictures!
Another Lakota senior's pictures are in the books! This family chose a great spot near the Ohio river with a glorious backdrop of Cincinnati for their senior photography session. Camden opted for a 30-minute session and we had plenty of time for many poses and backdrops for his senior session. Here are a few of the highlights.
Being a photographer in Cincinnati is amazing. I love the backdrop of our bridges, stadiums, and beautiful parks along the river. Smale Park is one of my favorite places to photograph families. It was a HOT summer morning (we were all sweating and it was only 9 am!) but everyone did an amazing job.
2020. What a year. I can't tell you how good it feels to be back behind the camera. This session was so much fun and being in downtown Cincinnati at Smale Park for photography sessions is always a treat. It was good for my soul to be back doing what I love to do. Do your local small businesses a favor as they reopen. Like their social media pages. Comment and encourage them. Buy gift cards from them to help them get back up and running. ![]() And it is always fun being photobombed by Cincinnati's finest...
Our state just enacted a stay at home order. Since the closing of schools on March 12, many of us have already been at home with our children and working mostly from home. I decided to offer my neighbors a portrait session so that we can remember these "unprecedented" times. (I have heard that word so many times these past few weeks and it kind of drives me nuts... but here we are.)
Being able to provide these sessions was truly a blessing to me. I met more neighbors while "sheltering in place" (another phrase I could live without hearing again...) than I have in four years of living in this neighborhood. We are all going through this experience in close proximity and we each have our own struggles but I have already seen neighbors talking more across lawns, waving more to those who walk by, and just acknowledging each other and the shared experience we are living through. Here are some of the photos that I took (from a distance of course...) |
